NEW ORLEANS - Brandt Blocker Presents in association with Six Flags New Orleans proudly announces the delightfully joyous family entertainment "Seussical: The Musical" now through Jan. 23 at Six Flags New Orleans.

New Orleans' stage veteran Bryan Wagar is the host and emcee as the Cat in the Hat. Child prodigy and Big Easy Entertainment Award-winner David Bologna is JoJo, a "thinker" with a wild imagination.

Michael Larche, recently seen in Brandt Blocker's hit production of "Smokey Joe's Cafe" at JPAS, plays the gentle giant Horton the Elephant.

Michelle Marcotte-Macicek, last seen in Blocker's production of "HONK!" at Le Petit Theatre, portrays Gertrude McFuzz, a self-conscious bird with a one-feathered tail.

Big Easy Entertainment Award-winner Jimmy Murphy plays the misguided General Gengus Kahn Schmitz. Big Easy Entertainment Award-winner Gabrielle Porter, last seen in Blocker's "Smokey Joe's Caf/" and "Little Shop of Horrors" is the loud, brassy Sour Kangaroo.

UNO jazz studies student and NOCCA grad Sasha Masakowski is the manipulative and sassy Mayzie LaBird.

The vibrant tenor of Randy Juneau and the calming mezzo of Laura D'Arcangelo are on display as JoJo's parents, the Mayor of Whoville and his wife.

Kenneth Thompson, Mat Grau and Ade Herbert play the Wickersham Brothers, a fun troupe of jungle creatures who like to "monkey around", while Dianna Duffy, Ashleigh Hoppe, and Kallie Miller are birds of a feather who groove together as the Bird Girls.

Keith Claverie portrays the Grinch, John Haas plays Vlad Vladikoff, and Jeremy Reese is Yertle the Turtle.

Rounding out this talented group is Kelsey Vogt, Shannon Corrigan, Alexis Bruza, Molly France, Erica Langhoff, Brooke Arata, Ericka Volpe, Andrea Pizza, Alec Gilchrist, Emile Ferbos, David Lizana, and Daniel Rigamer.

"Seussical" is a contemporary re-imagining of Dr. Seuss, which weaves together many of his most famous stories and characters in unexpected ways. SEUSSICAL creates the witty, wild and whimsical world of Dr. Seuss as it has never been seen before. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, and a gaggle of characters to bring harmony back to their world. The Tony Award-winning team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime & Once on This Island) has created a joyous score that emerges as a Seussian gumbo of musical styles, ranging from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk! So let your toes tap, your fingers snap, and your imagination run wild!

Stage and musical director Brandt Blocker has teamed with Six Flags New Orleans' entertainment designer Jonathan Foucheaux to bring this fantastical, magical musical extravaganza SUESSICAL to life!

SEUSSICAL features lively and energetic choreography by Jaune Buisson, colorful and dazzling costumes by Charlotte Lang and professional sound design by Cliff Stromeyer.
