Every year during the week of May 15, a law enforcement agency in St. Tammany Parish hosts a National Police Memorial Day ceremony honoring all members of the "thin blue line." Lynn Sharpe, assistant to Police Chief Jerry DiFranco; Rene Cazabon, records clerk and Lt. Jack West coordinated the 2006 memorial event, hosted this year by the Covington Police Department.

Blue skies blanketed the mid-morning ceremony, held on the lawn of Covington City Hall, while the names of deceased officers and those killed in the line of duty were read. Family members and department representatives placed flowers honoring the fallen upon the ceremonial wreath. A 21-gun salute by the Mandeville Police Honor Guard rang clear before the playing of Taps concluded the ceremony.

" Wow, the first thing i was asked when the police woke me standing over my bed was, " Can we search your truck?"
Few nights before I won 1400$ from the casino, and had 600$ in my wallet to deposit in the bank. I do not carry my wallet with THAT much money around in my pocket. It was in the center console of my truck as always.
I guess they needed some more evidence.
Kind of shady. Well i hope they had a great time with my 600$!Don't you love police men? =) "
