There was no endorsement in the State Senate District 11 race. STRPEC Chair Stephanie Berault said that both Rep. Pete Schneider and Jack Donahue both have "strong support" from the executive committee.
For the Senate District 6 race, the STRPEC recommend Sen. Julie Quinn for reelection over candidates Doug Johnson and Dr. Monica Monica.
After listening to candidates for the House District 74 seat, Adam Ackel and Scott Simon, the committee decided to endorse Ackel.
John Schroder impressed the committee with his speech and won the STRPEC's endorsement over Colleen Hawley.
Finally, the STRPEC gave their endorsement to Rep. Tim Burns for his reelection to the House District 89 seat.
Earlier this year, in April the STRPEC endorsed Bobby Jindal for governor, and Rep. Mike Strain for Commissioner of Agriculture.
Berault said more endorsements for other parish political seats would be forthcoming after candidates make presentations to the committee.
