St. Tammany News

The Covington Police Department is asking the public's help in solving two recent crimes. In both cases, information that leads to an arrest and indictment of the responsible person could result in a cash reward of up to $2,500. The first case involves the burglary of City Hall offices the night of Friday, Dec. 7, where someone stole cash and checks from the teller's office. The police have no leads at this time except a description of a black male in his late teens or early 20's.

The second case involves an armed robbery of a Covington man on the night of Thursday, Dec. 13, by two men in a vehicle. The vehicle driver was apprehended, but all attempts to obtain information about the armed passenger have failed. The gunmen was armed with a blue steel revolver and is considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20's.

To receive the reward, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-STOP (7867). You do not have to testify or give your name to receive the reward. You may also call the Covington Police Department at 892-8500.

" Wow, the first thing i was asked when the police woke me standing over my bed was, " Can we search your truck?"
Few nights before I won 1400$ from the casino, and had 600$ in my wallet to deposit in the bank. I do not carry my wallet with THAT much money around in my pocket. It was in the center console of my truck as always.
I guess they needed some more evidence.
Kind of shady. Well i hope they had a great time with my 600$!Don't you love police men? =) "
