The document expresses the council's wish to silence inquiries and comments of media and community members directed toward the council concerning the investigation of the police department and city hall. It states, "the investigation... is presently in the hands of the Legislative Auditor's office... this council has not seen any documents or reports yet... Once a report is issued, the city council will be better poised to consider an appropriate response."
Lenfant said the statement was drawn up after many of the council members admitted to receiving relentless phone calls from the public. More information on Thursday's council meeting will be in Sunday's edition of the St. Tammany News.

Tots" matter and Jackie and I will continue to enjoy dontating to the fund. Tom Buell has been the best Police Chief this town has ever had and his many past accomplishments ought to be listed and evualated alongside these paltry few and relatively minor errors of judgement. I'm sorry that we've placed limits on Mayor Price's service to this city. We will miss him. "
