After spending the last 63 years in New Orleans, Bevolo Gas and Electric Lights has opened its first Northshore location at 68467 Louisiana Highway 59 in Mandeville.

Started by his grandfather in 1945, Drew Bevolo said his company was responsible for lighting the French Quarter many years ago.

In fact, most of those lights are still in place and can be seen at many of the historic downtown locations today. He also said their lights have been hung in all 50 states plus 28 different countries.

All of their lights are handmade, and they specialize in gas and electric fixtures.
