Air Show T-shirts still available

Only adult sizes available; price has been reduced

Looking for something cool and stylish to wear this summer?

How about a T-shirt from the 2008 Slidell Air Show? The city of Slidell still has a stack of the shirts and is selling them at a discount.

The shirts, which honor the veterans of the Gulf War, were sold at the air show for $15 and have been reduced in price to $10. There are only adult sizes available. Slidell spokesman Paul Bartels said children’s sizes were not issued this year. The shirts come in large, extra large, extra-extra large and extra-extra-extra large.

The shirts are emblazoned with an F-16 fighter jet over an outline of a map of the Middle East, superimposed over a field of dark blue.

The T-shirts can be purchased at the Slidell Municipal Airport between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, as long as supplies last.

The airport is located at the end of Airport Road north of Interstate 12. It is advised that customers call the airport at 641-7590 to check on availability.
