I-12 lane closings announced

Motorists on Interstate 12 should expect traffic delays and intermittent closings of the east and west bound lanes from 9 p.m. today to 8 a.m. June 28 as work crews repave the Bayou Lacombe overpass and repair the bridge railings.

The Department of Transportation Development said both the right and left lanes on both east and westbound sides of I-12 will be closed intermittently during the work project. The entire project will be between milepost 63.05 and milepost 73.56 just west of Louisiana Highway 434.
