NCS Wolverines dominate District 7-1A All-District baseball team
The Northlake Christian School Wolverines baseball team won the District 7-1A championship with a 6-0 record before finishing the season as the state runner up in Class 1A losing to Ouachita Christian 5-4 in the championship game at Bringhurst Park in Alexandria. NCS finished the year at 22-7-1.

Knights 18s fall in finals in La. World Series
The Louisiana Knights 18s got through the weekend’s rain and made it to the finals of the Louisiana World Series, going 4-1 during the event held Thursday-Sunday at Fontainebleau High and Southeastern Louisiana University.

National Junior, Mr. Pee Wee Tennis League
2007-2008 year resultsThe Northshore Tennis Association’s National Junior and Mr. Pee Wee development tennis program for boys and girls, ages 4-13, was held on private and public courts in the Covington and Mandeville area during the 2007-2008 school year. This school year, the first part of the week, play took place at Covington’s Kehoe-France Northshore School-Camp tennis court unless poor weather moved play inside the full-size gym. Mandeville has two lighted courts in the park behind City Hall that were also used.

The Tammany Zephyrs, located in the Mandeville area, captured the 2008 United States Specialty Sports Association 11AA Louisiana State Tournament by going 5-0 during the competition last weekend in Lake Charles.

MSC U17 girls advance to semifinals in regional play
The Mandeville Soccer Club U17 girls Lakers team put on a strong team performance in the U. S. Youth Soccer Region III Championships in North Carolina, earning a semifinal appearance. Wes Leake, the U17 coach in his 10th year with MSC, said his club entered the tournament as a wildcard team, competing in the higher U19 bracket.
