Jason Allen Crowe, 25, 48135 Lawrence Creek, Covington, was apprehended on Saturday morning and charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace.

Crowe was apprehended at 1118 N. Polk St. in Covington after crashing his white 1998 Pontiac Bonneville in a nearby yard. According to the victim, Krystina Jackson, 23, he ran through the house pulling down curtains and smashing various items.

He found Jackson in her bed, pulled the cover off her and her one-year-old baby and began growling at her. Her screams for help were heard by neighbors who dragged the suspect out of the house and held him until police arrived, according to Covington Police Department spokesman, Capt. Jack West.

" Is the Nortshore turning into another New Orleans? I think it is and I hope our local police put a severe stop to this behavior or we will become another New Orleans. I would also like to know why other cities on the Northshore have not followed Candace Watkins lead and stop vehicles that are playing music so loud the car windows of the vehicle next to them rattle. Personally I am ready to move out of the state. "
