There’s a creature on the loose right here in St. Tammany.

So mysterious and prevalent that Fox News traveled from New York to investigate the phenomenon, which can be seen tonight at 7.

The Honey Island Swamp Monster is becoming more than a local legend.

Since the story was first aired of her grandfather happening upon some mighty large, human-like creature’s footprints in his beloved swamp on the Discovery Channel several years ago, Dana Holyfield has been a busy woman.

Holyfield has been entertaining reporters’ and scientists’ questions since the death of her grandfather 20 years ago.

Her grandfather first stumbled on the tracks of a three-toed creature in the ‘60s while on a hunting expedition in his beloved swamp. Holyfield’s grandmother even caught the alleged creature on her eight-millimeter video camera, which can be seen in the documentary Holyfield created and released this year on the legend ary monster.

Holyfield said Fox News ran across the documentary and decided to travel down and investigate the phenomenon.

Friday, she took the news crew on a tour of the swamp and also introduced them to the many eyewitnesses who claim to have encountered the creature. Holyfield said the segment will air tonight at 7 on the Fox News channel.
