Folsom’s Magnolia Park is a busy place this summer.

From yoga to pilates to art classes, the only public recreation park in the small village has a full plate with Louisiana-sized servings heaped on it.

First on the agenda is the youth art exhibit, Masterpieces by Me.

The exhibit will be displayed at the community center in the park and will feature a large array of pieces created by children who partook in the six-week art class given by Dionne Prestenback.

“It’s a lot of fun and good for the children,” Prestenback said.

Family and friends are invited to attend the event Wednesday from 5-6 p.m.

Also on tap are yoga classes that will be given in six-week sessions on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 and Monday mornings from 9 to 10. Registration is $60.

Pilates classes will also be hosted at the park on Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. Registration is $60 for a six-week session.

The park will also hold adult and youth art classes on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 and 12:30 to 2:30 respectively.

A youth class will be offered on Wednesdays from 4- 5:30 p.m. Cost for each session is $65.

With football season around the corner, the park is gearing up and holding registration for the football, cheerleading, baseball and softball seasons for boys and girls, ages 5 to 12, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park’s office. Birth certificates are required.
