District 76 state Rep. Kevin Pearson, R-Slidell, will hold a public town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church, 433 Erlanger St., Slidell.

He hopes to inform and educate constituents on the 2008 regular legislative session.

“We passed monumental legislation in the regular session,” Pearson said. “From eliminating the burdensome Stelly Tax to funding crucial infrastructure projects statewide, the people of Louisiana will truly benefit from the hard work of their legislators.”

Following the first special session on Ethics and the second special session on business taxes, the Legislature convened on March 30, 2008, to begin the regular session. After hearing thousands of bills, with topics ranging from healthcare to workforce development, the Legislature adjourned June 23.

Pearson encouraged his constituents to review the legislation passed during the regular session through the state’s Web site at www.legis.state.la.us, or to call his office at 646-6487 with specific questions.

Pearson’s district office is located at 620 Oak Harbor Blvd, Suite 203. In addition to personal visits and mail, he is accessible by office phone at 646-6487, cell phone at 290-3586), e-mail at pearsonk@legis.state.la.us, or fax 646-6489.
