South West Study Area recommendations being presented to parish zoning group

As part of the overall Parish Rezoning Plan, the St. Tammany Parish Planning Department will present its recommendations for the South West Study Area of the parish to the Zoning Commission. The presentation will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the Council chambers on Koop Drive in Mandeville.

The South West Study Area of the parish is the area bordered by Louisiana Highway 59 on the east, Lake Pontchartrain on the south, the Tangipahoa Parish Line on the west, and the Tchefuncte River to U.S. Highway 190 to Louisiana Highway 36 on the north. This region encompasses Madisonville, Mandeville, south Covington and Goodbee.
