Held as the chamber’s primary fundraiser, the party also serves as a reunion of sorts for members of the local business community wishing to get things back to normal after the start of school. The $100 per couple ticket included admittance to the party, which carried a luau theme, as well as a one-in-600 chance to win $10,000.
Many attendees danced to music provided by Northshore band Four Unplugged and enjoyed food and beverages from 18 restaurants while other hung around the back of the room around the big screen televisions showing the New Orleans Saints’ preseason game.
