The Animal Assistance League of Slidell is seeking patron support of its Halloween Gala to be held the evening of Oct. 25 at Palmettos on the Bayou Restaurant located at 1901 Bayou Lane, Slidell.

Entertainment will be provided by Joe Krown’s Swing Band and attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and participate in a costume contest. There will also be photo opportunities, a silent auction and door prizes.

All money raised from the event will be used toward the medical care, spay/neutering and feeding of shelter animals, and every dollar donated goes to save a life.

The main goal of the Animal Assistance League is to teach citizens to show compassion for all living creatures, as well as to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. Of course, caring for homeless pets and helping them to find good and loving homes is also a top priority.
