District 9 community meeting set for Tuesday

St. Tammany Parish District 9 Councilman Gene Bellisario will host a community meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the cafeteria of Boyet Junior High School on Rebel Drive.

The meeting, open to constituents, will discuss a variety of topics, including a presentation on flood plain maps and insurance issues, capital projects proposed for 2009 and updates on Lighting District No. 9 and the Brownswitch Drainage District new retention pond that is being considered.

Also on the agenda are updates on a proposed garbage district, planning and zoning issues, and the construction of Rooms to Go warehouse off North Military Road.

If residents have an issue they want added to the agenda, they should contact Bellisario in advance so he can research the issue.
