Jordan Bodenheimer

St. Paul’s senior football player Jordan Bodenheimer is the Wolves’ starting mike linebacker. Bodenheimer is currently third on the club with 42.5 tackles, including 32 solo stops. He has two stops for losses and has caused a fumble. In last week’s 45-24 district victory over Slidell, he was in on eight tackles, including one tackle for a loss.

Northlake Christian School’s Lady Wolverines defeated the First Baptist Christian School Lady Eagles, 25-10, 25-18, 25-18, in a district match Monday at NCS. NCS (13-4), which never trailed, is 6-0 in district, while First Baptist (5-4) is 5-3 in league play.

St. Scholastica Academy’s Doves turned in an outstanding effort over the weekend in the Country Day Tournament in Metairie, capturing the title with an unblemished 7-0 mark. The Doves downed Dominican, 25-23, 25-17, Saturday to win the championship.

Archbishop Hannan’s Hawks notched their first victory of the season last week, downing Rabouin 34-22. Hannan (1-4) is on the road again this week traveling to Welsh (3-2) to battle the Class 2A Greyhounds. Welsh, located about 20 minutes east of Lake Charles, defeated Kinder 48-6 on the road last week.

Panthers win big over Hammond

Led by the rushing of Channing Wise, the passing of Jervious Epherson and solid special teams play, the Northshore Panthers defeated the Hammond Tornadoes Friday night, 56-21. Wise carried 14 times for 233 yards, and Epherson completed 10-of-12 passes for 143 yards and two scores. For homestanding Hammond, Torian Weber had 232 yards on 19 carries and two scores, including an 80-yard run around left end. Justin Betts added 60 yards on nine carries for the Tors.
