Patrick Joseph Doyle Sr., 55, resident of Thibodaux, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held today at Chauvin Funeral Home, 5899 Highway 311, Houma at 6 p.m. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-6 p.m.

Patrick, or “P.D.” as he was affectionately known by many, was a loving Daddy to his five precious children, Mallory, Lindsey, Patrick Jr, John and Trevor of Slidell. Additionally “P.D.” will be missed by his siblings, Kathleen Hambright of Georgia, Michael, Edward and John of Tennessee, Brian and James from Florida and Maura Werthmann from South Carolina along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a personal debt of gratitude to “P.D.’s” loving friends, Dr. Pete Lewis and Kaye Gussman and her staff at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care.

“P.D.” was a commissioned officer in the U. S. Army, a graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Nursing and a dedicated health care-giver through the years. In addition, he was an avid sportsman and sailor, yet his primary passion was being a loving father to his five wonderful kids.

Patrick was Assistant Director of Nursing at Chateau Terrebonne Health Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Chateau Terrebonne Activity Fund, 1386 West Tunnel Blvd, Houma, LA 70360.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.

GARRETSON

Suphrona H. “Fronie” Garretson, 86, a resident of Pearl River, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2008.

She was a retired nurses assistant with Slidell Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by two children, Jimmie Dwayne Kennedy and Cecile Annett Hendrix; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Garretson; parents, Frank and Bessie Hart; a daughter, Lillie Jane Baragona; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of D.T. Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Highway 41, Pearl River.

Visitation is Thursday morning at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.

Interment will follow at Audubon Cemetery, Pearl River.
