Join ghouls, ghosties and local favorite Morgus the Magnificent at the Easter Seals of Louisiana benefit Hole-A-Ween golf tournament on Friday, Oct. 24 at Tchefuncte Country Club.

In addition to having fun for a good cause, golfers can meet some of the recipients of their donations, who act as ambassadors during the fundraiser.

One recipient, Rachel Studley, former client of Easter Seals, is the youngest member of the golf tournament committee and will be on hand to thank everyone personally for their assistance.

Dan Underwood, president and CEO of Easter Seals Louisiana said that as the population of the Northshore has grown, so have the needs that are met by Easter Seals.

Some of the services provided includes support coordination, the mental health scoliosis screening, post polio support, equipment loan program including rebuilt and refurbished wheel chairs, specific assistance ad camping and recreation programs.

The goal of the organization is to assist those with special needs in achieving maximum independence.

Easter Seals has been rated one of the top charities in the country, with more than 90 percent of monies raised going directly to their clients for services.

In addition to the five new holes at the renovated Tchefuncte Country Club, golfers will enjoy a festive day of fundraising for a good cause.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with tee-off at noon.
