Hannan sweeps Reserve Christian in finale
Archbishop Hannan’s Lady Hawks recognized lone senior Katie Bailey and her parents at the opening of Tuesday’s district home match with the Reserve Christian Lady Eagles. Bailey didn’t disappoint the Hawks’ home crowd as she hammered the first kill and finished with a match-high 15 kills, sparking Hannan to a sweep, 25-10, 25-13, 25-16.

Hannan comes from behind, holds on for win over Lusher
Trailing 20-19 with seven minutes left in the game, the Hannan Hawks faced a fourth- and-11. From punt formation, the center snap went to up-back Gino Gioe. He tossed a pass to Lee Laughlin, who broke open over the middle, cradled the ball and sprinted to the end zone for what turned out to be the winning points in the Hawks’ 25-20 victory over the Lusher Lions at Tornado Alley in Hammond Thursday night.
