School Board meeting set to cover construction projects

The name and grades considered for the new elementary school in Madisonville are among the topics to be presented at the St. Tammany Parish School Board committee as a whole meeting for business affairs and administration to be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the C. J. Schoen Administrative Complex in Covington.

In addition, there will be a presentation of the design for the Henry Mayfield Elementary School to be built in the Bayou Woods/ Slidell area by architect Coleman and Partners. The school is part of the 2004 bond issue.

The Little Pearl Elementary School will be recommended as complete to the board. The school was funded by the 2004 bond issue at a cost of $8.02 million.

Also on the agenda for the meeting are the monthly construction, maintenance and custodial, risk management, transportation and monthly purchasing reports.
