Dominican downs Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau’s Lady Bulldogs fell to Dominican Tuesday, FHS 25-20, 19-25, 25-18, 25-18, at the Kennel in a tune up match getting ready for the upcoming playoffs. Lindsey Barron topped FHS with 16 kills, 17 digs, four blocks and an ace. Sophomore Emily Sulzer contributed 13 digs, four blocks and three aces.Taylor Anderson finished with eight kills and a block.

Freshman Sarah Ulm delivered five kills and five blocks, while freshman Haley Bonneval came up with five kills and three blocks. McCrea Barney netted 19 assists with Michelle Cabeceiras adding 17 assists. Caitlyn Auxilien pulled up 18 digs with an ace.

FHS (31-6), the District 5-I undefeated champs (14-0), are hosting a bi-district round playoff game Monday with Thibodaux set for 6 p.m. at the Kennel.

Slidell falls

to Chalmette

Chalmette swept Slidell’s Lady Tigers, 25-14, 26-24, 25-18, at home in a match held Tuesday. Kaitlyn Crippin recorded 11 assists and 10 kills for the Lady Tigers, while Quinci Hayward tallied 12 kills. Hannah Gambrell posted four kills and two blocks.

Slidell plays at St. Scholastica Academy this afternoon at 4:30 in the bi-district playoffs.
