The three seats, two justices and one constable in northern and central St. Tammany, are battling for the most votes after nobody emerged a clear victor during primaries Oct. 4.
Justice of the Peace officers rule on small civil matters less than $5,000 and other minor litigation, such as litter violations.

In the runoff, Gregory Byers, a Republican, is challenging John Thomas Mathies III, also a Republican, for the constable position in Folsom’s Ward 2.
Neither Byers nor Mathies returned phone calls as of press time.
In Mandeville, Justice of the Peace Ward 4 voters must choice between 12-year incumbent Eddie Schmidt or newcomer Darryl Taylor, both Republicans.
A sales representative for Safway Scaffold, Schmidt, 46, has operated the constable seat for the past 12 years and is focused on keeping his district’s neighborhoods safe, he said.
Taylor, meanwhile, said the position is in his blood. The 48-year-old owner of Darryl’s restaurant in Mandeville said his late father, Jimmy Taylor, was a constable for 18 years while his mother, Marie Taylor, was a justice of the peace.
In Ward 1, Republican “Pat” Gottschalck Dedon, a Republican from Folsom, is squaring off against “Chuck” Wohltmann, a Republican from Covington for a Justice of the Peace seat.
Neither returned phone calls seeking comment.
