He stands about 3 feet high, walks with a cane, has green skin, long pointy ears, and is one mean expert of the light saber.

Despite his powers of the Force, and his battle against evil, Jedi Master Yoda has disappeared, and Cindy Beum wants to get him back, no questions asked.

Beum noticed his absence Oct. 26 when she walked out of her house on Bayou Paquet Street in Slidell, and the statue of the Jedi master was missing.

This is the last known photo of Yoda who was last seen on the front porch of Cindy Beum'€™s house on Bayou Paquet Street.

“He was there the night before. I always pat him on the head when I come home or leave,” Beum said.

Beum has had the statue of the iconic “Star Wars” character since February when a colleague of hers gave it to Beum. The friend had owned the statue since the late 70s when her daughter won the statue in a contest at a local video store. Though a bit bedraggled from the waters of Hurricane Katrina, the statue was in good shape, and Beum’s friend, knowing her love of “Star Wars” gave Yoda to her.

“I like that little green guy,” Beum said.

She placed the statue on her front porch, and was a favorite of Beum’s 5-year-old granddaughter, Brianna. Beum didn’t know who absconded with the Jedi Master and thinks it might have been an early Halloween prank.

“This is a quiet neighborhood, and everybody knows everybody,” Beum said.

She started putting up fliers in the local grocery store and at the flea market, hoping somebody would know where Yoda had gone. She went to a local radio station and made an appeal to the thief or thieves to return Yoda, no questions asked. Beum has even gone on the Internet auction site eBay hoping that someone had put Yoda up for sale.

But a week has passed, and Beum is still looking.

“It’s really depressing that they think they can get away with this,” Beum said.

She said she has no money to offer as a reward, and the statue has great sentimental value to her.

“When Brianna comes for Thanksgiving, she is going to be heart-broken,” Beum said. “She really loved it.”

She said the thief had a lot of nerve to steal Yoda. Beum’s house sits way back from the road on a quarter acre of land.

“They had to cross about 60 feet to get to my porch,” she said.

Beum said that if anybody has any information on Yoda, or has seen the statue, they can either page Beum at (504) 538-5316 or go to Eddie’s Grocery at 32470 U.S. Highway 190 West and leave a message on the bulletin board near the picture of Yoda.

“Please return it, no questions asked,” Beum said.

As Yoda would say, “Lost I am, rescue I need.”

" People need to be more accountable for there actions.
The children today , raise themselves.
Both parents usually work, and are too busy to fully see what the child/teens do when there away. and people these days just seem to take what they want.
I feel bad for your loss, and hope no harm came to your yoda. "

" I HOPE THAT ANY ONE THAT HAS RECENTLY SEEN A YOUDA AS DESCRIBED IN THIS STORY HAS THE PERSON OF INTEREST RETURN HIM TO YOU NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THE JEDI MASTER IS PROABLY THE ONLY ONE OF HIS KIND OUT IN THE SLIDELL AREA. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU "
