A fire last Saturday night that torched the Mandeville home of Rodney Boudreaux is being investigated as arson, state fire marshal’s officials said.

Boudreaux is the co-chair of the committee to recall Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price.

He was attending a wedding that evening and was not home at the time of the blaze, which started at about 10:30 p.m. in the living room of his home at 2726 Villere St.

“We are pursuing this as an intentionally set fire,” said Chief Arson Investigator Marc Reech. “We found enough evidence at the scene to convince us it was arson.”

Reech would not comment as to whether or not his office has a suspect in mind.

There were no injuries in the fire, and Reech said it is likely more details would be released early this week.

" Eddie? What were you doing in Rodney's living room prior to the fire? Watching Family Guy? Or was it "Backdraft"? "
