MetLife Loans introduces Slidell Mortgage branch

The Slidell mortgage branch of First Horizon Home Loans has announced it is now officially part of MetLife, and doing business as a mortgage branch of MetLife Home Loans.

The name change reflects the recent announcement that MetLife Bank, NA, a unit of MetLife, Inc. had completed its acquisition of the residential mortgage origination and servicing business of First Tennessee Bank National Association, a subsidiary of First Horizon National Corp.

As a result of the acquisition, all mortgage products are now being offered under the brand of MetLife Home Loans, a Division of MetLife Bank, N.A.

“This acquisition is a nice complement to MetLife’s other businesses, as most people’s largest asset is their home.” said Donna DeMaio, president of MetLife Bank. “This transaction effectively positions MetLife Bank to be a leader in the origination and servicing of residential mortgage products.”

The Slidell mortgage branch provides a wide range of home loans and lending products, including fixed-rate, adjustable rate, FHA and VA loans.

“I’m tremendously excited to become a part of the MetLife family,” said Candy Metzler. “MetLife has been around for 140 years, and enjoys a great reputation as a caring company dedicated to helping people build a personal safety net.”

The branch is located at 1371 Corporate Square Dr., Slidell.
