Holiday Hoopla ends with grand prize

Congratulations to Mandeville resident Pamela Faure, who is the winner of $500 in St. Tammany News’ Holiday Hoopla promotion.

The four-week contest, run by the newspaper and sponsored by nine local businesses, had a total of $1,500 given away.

St. Tammany News teamed with Scardina Refrigeration, Advantage Financial, Lawn & Saw Shop, Wabi Sabi, Poole Lumber Co., Garrett Honda, Unfinished Furniture, Cycle Shop and Slidell Easy Pay in Holiday Hoopla, a promotion aimed at getting people to shop local. For four weeks, three residents won a total of $250 to spend at one of the participating businesses.

First-week winners were Sue Bourq of Mandeville, $125; Vic Vargo of Covington, $75; and Cindy Douglas of Slidell, $50.

Second-week winners were Fay Hudgeons of Covington, $125; Brent Brookert of Pearl River, $75; and Donna Berggren of Mandeville, $50.

Third-week winners were Kathryn Kelley of Slidell, $125; Jane Rauch of Mandeville, $75; and Risa Chatelain of Mandeville, $50.

Fourth-week winners were Ryan Richards of Mandeville, $125; Charlotte Henry of Abita Springs, $75; and Robert Garrett of Slidell, $50.
