Three compete in Motocoss

Three local competitors, from left, competed at the 2008 ITP/Moose Racing ATV Motocross Championship series.

The league includes amateur and professional racing. It consists of 10 races, which riders earn points toward a national championship.

The season began on March 29 and concluded Aug. 10. It started in Alabama and went to Kentucky, Virginia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New York and Tennessee. Murrah, a Slidell High School sophomore, finished eighth in his division. Cason, who is a sophomore at Northshore High School, took fifth. Reker, also a sophomore at NHS, was ninth.
