Tickets for Salmen game on sale today

Tickets are on sale now for Salmen’s Class 4A state semifinal football game against Archbishop Shaw. The game is at 7 p.m. Friday at Salmen High School.

Presale tickets for $8 are available today and tomorrow from 11:20 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the school library and today from 5-7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Tickets will be $9 at the gate.

Salmen (10-2) lost early to John Curtis and Independence then won nine games in a row and captured the District 9-4A championship.

The playoff run began with a 34-2 win over Bossier, then Salmen denied an O. Perry Walker two-point conversion to take a 28-26 regional round victory.

In last week’s quarterfinals, Salmen beat Northside, 49-12.

    " Pre Katrina Salmen dominated the football fields in Slidell. It has taken them a remarkably short amount of time to rebuild thier program, and as a resident of the Northshore I am proud to see them playing so well.
