The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Boyd of Big Branch. The groom is the son of Rena B. Daniel of Old Hickory, Tenn., and the late John F. Daniel.

The Rev. John Talamo officiated the nuptial Mass and ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown featuring intricate beading and lace on the bodice and train. She wore a crystal tiara and a waist-length veil and carried a silk bouquet of cream and champagne-colored roses accented with greenery tied with satin ribbons. For her “something old,” she wore her mother’s wedding garter.

Melinda Boyd Ogden of Big Branch served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridal attendants were the bride’s sisters, Mallory Boyd and Meredith Boyd Todd, both of Big Branch, and cousins Renee’ Hurley Christman of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Danielle Bauer of Baton Rouge.

Each wore a cinnamon strapless gown with matching pearl and beige colored beaded necklace and earrings. They carried silk bouquets of cinnamon, beige and peach colors.

Hailey Ogden, Gabrielle Ogden and Skyleigh Boyd of Big Branch, the bride’s nieces, served as flower girls.

Each wore a floor length white cotton dress and carried a pomander of silk cream, white and cinnamon colored flowers.

Jennifer Bauer Hardin of Metairie and Jennifer Daniel of Old Hickory, Tenn. read the readings for the Mass, and Mark Christman of Daytona Beach, Fla., read the intentions.

The groom chose Mark Vogt, of Boligee, Ala., as his best man. Groomsmen were Steve Ogden and Benjamin Todd, brothers-in-law of the bride, both of Big Branch; the bride’s cousin, Brett Hurley, of Destin, Fla.; and family friend, Danny Schneider of Mandeville.

The ushers were Mike Hellmers of Slidell and the bride’s uncle, James Boyd of Slidell.

The reception followed the ceremony at Vintage Court in Covington. The four-tier wedding cake featured an icing monogram and the groom’s cake depicted a computer with the “Taboo” messenger where the couple met online.

The wedding party and guests enjoyed dancing and music provided by Tommy Waguespack, the deejay.

The groom’s mother, Rena Daniel, hosted a rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s sister on Nov. 13.

The bride, whose mother is the former Colette Ruiz of New Orleans, graduated from Mandeville High School and from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond in 2001.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Coleman G. Ruiz and the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. Boyd.

The groom, whose mother is the former Rena Broussard of New Orleans, graduated from Chalmette High School in 1994.

He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ennis “Bruce” P. Broussard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick B. Daniel.

Following a honeymoon cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple will reside in Slidell.
