The marriage of Hyland Jayne Cassagne and Kyle Daniel Taylor was solemnized Oct. 26 at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans with the Rev. Gary Pittman presiding. Ceremony music, a string duet of cello and violin, was provided by A Touch of Rose Music.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail reception in the Palm Court followed by dinner and dancing on the top floor in La Chinoiserie.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Cassagne of Charlottesville, Va. The groom is the son of the late Mindy K. Svadeba of Terre Haute, Ind., and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Evans of Slidell.

The bride, whose mother is the former Marsha Porter of New Orleans, is employed by Slidell Chiropractic Clinic.

She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph S. Cassagne and Roberta P. Cassagne and the late Edwina M. Porter.

The bride wore and ivory, fluted gown with a strapless neckline and carried a bouquet of champagne and ivory roses and miniature calla lilies.

The bride’s sister, Elizabeth Cassagne, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Beth Taylor, Bobbie Hockaday and Lindy Babin. Baily Stock, the groom’s niece, served as flower girl.

The groom graduated from Northshore High School and attended Louisiana State University and the University of New Orleans. He is employed by Automotive Center of Slidell. He is the grandson of Phyllis Banks.

Patrick Harris served as best man. Groomsmen were Joseph Taylor, Jonathan Cassagne and Rip Stoltz.

Following a wedding trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple will reside in Slidell.
