In the second game, MHS’ Descant went on a scoring rampage, netting five goals to lead the Lady Skippers to a 7-0 victory over Alexandria.

Giroir added two goals in the shutout victory. Sophomores Rachel Robinson and Katelyn Peters were credited with an assist each. The MHS top defenders on the first day were Kleis and Abby Schmidt.

MHS advanced to the quarterfinals against the Leesville Lady Wampus Cats. Mandeville posted another shutout with a 6-0 victory on a pair of goals by Giroir and Davis. Descant and Hunter tallied one goal each. Davis was also credited with an assist.

In Saturday’s semifinals, MHS turned back a challenge from the Terrebonne Lady Gators with a 4-1 victory. Hunter scored twice to lead Mandeville with Giroir and sophomore Missy McGuire adding a goal each. Peters assisted on McGuire’s goal.
