St. Pauls blanks Catholic in soccer play

St. Paul blanked Catholic High of Baton Rouge, 2-0, at home last Monday.

Jordan Daigle gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead, assisted by Chad Cox on a free kick. Scott Mayer closed out the scoring with an assist from Zac Perret to give the Wolves a 2-0 halftime lead.

Wolves’ goalkeeper Brian Bowers netted the shutout, with Wes Lee being named the top defender.

St. Paul’s had five shots on goals in the second half but couldn’t finish with Catholic High goalie David Attenhofer coming up with big saves.
