“Molly is a kind of miracle,” said Kaye Harris, who originally rescued Molly along with her husband Glenn. “Most animals would not have survived the trauma that she has endured, but Molly has special qualities — she is strong, patient and inspires love and admiration in those who meet her. She does something to people,” Harris said. “She gives them hope.”
Tchefuncte Animal Hospital veterinarian Dr. David Moores was inspired, too. A graduate of LSU School of Veterinarian Medicine, Moores read about Molly’s story in a book by Pam Kaster, titled “Molly the Pony: A True Story,” and decided to host a visit from Molly and a book-signing event for the Northshore community.
