Sanders said the money will go to developing fields on Haas Road, which is 40-acres, to replace the ones on Kings Point.

Sanders also said he hopes the Haas Road fields will be the new SYSC complex.

“This money will be allocated to come up with fields, a parking lot and facilities to develop that into a soccer park,” Sanders said.

He added that those fields would be used along with the ones on Spartan Drive.

“It’s a huge step. I hope it maybe spurs some more donations from the community because we’re going to need some help in development of that kind of complex,” Sanders said.
