St. Paul’s blanks NCS

St. Paul’s Chad Cox scored a goal and added an assist, helping the Wolves blank Northlake Christian School, 3-0, in a non-district match held at SPS Monday. The Wolves were 9-3 leading into Friday’s play. SPS’ goals came from Scott Mayer off an assist from Adrian McInnis. Cox’s tally was a header on a corner kick by William Crawford. The other netter was from Trey Labat from Cox’s assist. St. Paul’s top defender was Mark Caragliano, while NCS named Mallory Mele its top defender.

CHS’ Watkins

nets hat trick

Covington’s Jen Watkins recorded a hat trick in a 4-0 over Woodlawn in a non-district contest held Monday at CHS. The Lady Lions are 3-11 this season.

Watkins’ goals were assisted by Kelsey Bitter, Amelia Newman and Sarah Sulzer.

Newman scored the other goal unassisted on a corner kick. Kelsey Brown was CHS’ top defender.
