Wolves compete in wrestling tourney

The Jacob McMillan Memorial Wrestling Tournament was held Dec. 12-13 at Lafayette High School.

The Wrestling Wolves finished first in the team scoring division with a total of 296.5 points, defeating among others, rivals Catholic High of Baton Rouge and Comeaux High of Lafayette.

St. Paul’s individual place winners included: 103 pounds: 3. Alex Zorrilla, 112: 3. Richard Stewart, 125: 3. Cody Gourgues, 135: 2. Chad Bordelon, 140: 1. Chase Gourgues, 145: 1. Korey Miller, 152: 2. Tyler Davis, 160: 2. Reagan Reed, 171: 3. Tyle Olister, 189: 2. Alex Grashoff, 215: 1. Lee Morgan and 285: 1. Nick Logarbo. St. Paul’s athletic director, Craig Ketelsen, coaches the varsity Wrestling Wolves.
