Bavido wasted little time scoring in the first minute assisted by Lucas Rader. Bavido scored his second goal just a minute later assisted by Blake Forest. Rader joined the scoring column, booting home a goal in the fifth minute assisted by Bavido. The talented junior fashioned his hat trick, tallying again in the 10th minute on Brett Duncan’s assist. Forest followed with an unassisted goal. Reed Mulford tallied a goal assisted by Dakoriye Charles to make it 6-0. Dolapo Ogunniyi scored the next goal assisted by Charles to give the Dawgs a 7-0 halftime lead.
Brendan Roland opened the second half scoring an unassisted goal followed by Andrew Tarbell’s goal assisted by Charles, who collected his third assist. Mulford closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal.
Senior Andrew Tykol was named the Bulldogs’ top defender and Matt Harris posted the shutout, turning away Hammond’s only shot attempt in the first half. FHS put 20 shots on goal. FHS hosts the Northshore tonight at 7.
Holy Cross
blanks Salmen
Salmen’s Spartans were shutout by the Holy Cross Tigers, 4-0, in a road match held Wednesday. The Tigers led 1-0 at halftime and scored two of their second-half goals on penalty kicks due to a pair of handballs in the box. Salmen coach Tim Rogers said Chase Temonia and goalkeeper Tyler Webber played well defensively.

Hammond
Fontainebleau’s Lady Bulldogs remained in first place in district play, routing the Hammond Lady Tornadoes 10-0 Tuesday in Hammond. FHS (11-1) moved to 7-0 in district action.
FHS’ Lauren Ritch put the Lady Bulldogs on the board first assisted by Shelby Latino. Casey Adkins made it 2-0 on Latino’s second assist. Ritch put in another goal assisted by Adkins to push it to 3-0. Mallory Richardson joined the scoring column on a Laurel Upton assist. Upton tallied a goal assisted by Richardson to give the Lady Bulldogs a 5-0 halftime advantage.
Lindsey Ritch and Samantha Maxwell netted unassisted goals. Alexa Herbers punched in a goal assisted by Morgan Meyer followed by Gabby Vance putting a ball in net assisted by Herbers.
Latino closed out the scoring with an unassisted goal. FHS goalkeeper Kaitlyn Villars posted the shut out victory.
Salmen falls
to Cabrini
Salmen’s Lady Spartans suffered a 7-0 loss to Cabrini in a district match held Tuesday at Pan American Stadium in New Orleans. Salmen is 1-2 in district play this season.
Despite the loss, Preslie Long was named Salmen’s top defender.
