A woman, who lives just outside Slidell, was arrested for aggravated second-degree battery Monday after she allegedly stabbed her roommate in the neck.

St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office spokesman, Capt. George Bonnett said Tasha Bonds, 32, 37030 Fourth St., Slidell was arrested and taken to St. Tammany Jail where she is under a $10,000 bond.

Bonnett said 911 got a call about the stabbing around 3:30 p.m. from one of the victim’s friends who found the man.

The friend told dispatchers he was taking the victim to the hospital.

However, when deputies got to the hospital, they were told that the friends had taken the victim to the Sheriff’s Administrative Complex on Brownswitch Road. According to deputies at the complex, the friends had brought the victim into the lobby and asked for help.

Deputies called the ambulance company who took the victim to Slidell Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to the neck.

Deputies believe the victim was stabbed with a shard of glass.

According to the St. Tammany Parish Clerk of Court Web site, Bond is no stranger to the St. Tammany Parish legal system. She has a record dating by to 1997 that includes theft, burglary, and possession of cocaine.
