Early voting

begins April 18

St. Tammany Registrar of Voters Dwayne Wall reminds voters that early voting for the May 2 general election begins April 18 and will end April 25. Those wishing to vote early can go to either the Registrar of Voters office at 701 N. Columbia St. in Covington, or to 61134 Military Road in Slidell between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Identification is required to vote early. St. Tammany voters will either be voting on the renewal of a 6 mill issue for Recreation District 6 or a 3 mill issue for Recreation Districts 2 and 3. Community meeting set

for Bush/Sun area Monday

Council Member Rebecca Howell of District 6 will hold a Bush/Sun Community Meeting Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Bush Community Center.
