Strains of orchestral music from composers across the world filled the air as moss hung from oak and cypress trees in a cool breeze Monday night at Bogue Falaya Park. Covington residents and visitors enjoyed the strains as children danced to the music in front of the stage.

The concert had been rescheduled from Sunday due to a threat of inclement weather. Visitors even pulled ashore in their boats from the river to enjoy the evening of music, friends and picnicking in the park.

The resident conductor, Rebecca Miller urged attendees to dance and enjoy the music, including a selection of dance favorites from waltz to polka to ballet. The concert included a medley of Duke Ellington favorites.

Concertgoers were encouraged to bring donations for the Covington Food Bank as well as lawn chairs and picnic dinners.
