Louisiana Knights 17/18s fall to Baton Rouge White Sox The Louisiana Knights 17/18s came up short Tuesday falling to the Baton Rouge White Sox 8-2 in a game played at Doyle High School. The Knights (8-18) were limited to five hits in the loss. Trey Marino, leading the Knights with a .333 average went 2-3 with a double and a triple with a run batted in and scored once. Justin Vaughn (.318) also went 2-3 with a single and a triple producing an RBI. Hunter Ham picked up the Knights’ other hit, while Michael Pustanio drew a walk and scored a run. Marino (0-4) pitched a complete game, allowing seven earned runs on seven hits. He posted six strikeouts, but walked four and hit a batter. The Knights held a 2-0 lead after three innings. |
