Sunset at the Landing, 6-9 p.m., Columbia Street, Covington. The concert is free and all are encouraged to bring chairs and refreshments.

Marvels of the Marsh, 5 p.m., Fontainebleau State Park. Participants will walk along the Sugar Mill Nature Trail to the Alligator Marsh Boardwalk to examine the uniqueness of the brackish marsh. Participants can collect fish and other marine life with a scoop net, which will be identified by the site ranger and then released. For more information, call 624-4130.

Art for Madisonville is a new non-profit organization to promote artists and the arts in Madisonville. Original artwork is free of state and local sales tax, since Madisonville is designated a Louisiana Cultural District.
