People, many with rosaries in hand, praying, waited for their turn to kneel before the Saint’s reliquary and pray. The bone was encased in a glass display, which in turn was enclosed in a separate glass case.
Frank Saxon, a volunteer from the church, explained that those who gathered are not praying to the saint. Instead, Catholics believe that the saint will carry their prayers to Jesus and God.

St. Mary Magdalene is best known for leading an evil life and repenting for her sins after she met Jesus. When Jesus went to supper at the home of a wealthy man, Simon, she wept at Jesus’s feet and dried his feet with her hair and anointed them with expensive perfume. Jesus told those present, “Many sins are forgiven her, because she has loved very much.” Then to Mary He said kindly, “Your faith has made you safe; go in peace.”
Traditional holds that she was present at the crucifixion and was on her way to anoint His body Easter Sunday when she found the tomb open and a man in a white robe in the tomb instead, making her the first witness of the Resurrection.
The holy relic is traveling through the area and after leaving Our Lady of the Lake Friday at midnight will be taken to St. Anthony of Padua Church in New Orleans.￯

They should also consider bringing some literature on all the atrocities the Catholic faith has commited against humanity, too-- that would make for some exciting reading! Nothing like religion for a little entertainment. "
