Susan DeJohn Ryan, 47, of Slidell, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at her home in Slidell. She was the beloved wife of James D. Ryan for the past 28 years; loving mother of Shawn M. Ryan and James D. Ryan Jr.; daughter of Inge DeJohn and the late Archille DeJohn; sister of Bernice Dutcher (Robert), Peggy Bond, Debbie Simmons (Doug), Bernie DeJohn, Peter DeJohn (Patricia) and Timothy DeJohn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was a native of Schenectady, N.Y., and a resident of Slidell since 1995. Susan was an incredible wife and loving mother who will be truly missed her family and friends.

All services are being held privately. Interment will follow at a later date in Memory Gardens in Colonie, N.Y. Donations to: Hospice Compassus, 770 Gause Blvd., Suite C, Slidell, LA 70458 are preferred, in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by Honaker Funeral Home, Inc., Slidell.
