A police recruit was asked during the exam, “What would you do if you had to arrest your own mother?” He answered, “Call for backup.”

LSU fans: If you’re not heading to Tuscaloosa this weekend, you’ll wanna go to Brian Harris Autoplex for the big LSU vs. Alabama game.

Actually the fun begins at 9:30 a.m. with the WWL-870 LSU Tailgating Show with the Cajun Cannon, Bobby Hebert, and the Big Chief, Deke Bellavia.

There’ll be plenty to eat and drink thanks to Nathan’s Restaurant, The Wine Market of Slidell and Blizzard Beach. And you can register to win some great prizes including a LSU sofa that will be given away at the end of the season courtesy of Geaux for the Gold. In addition, the best dressed LSU fan in attendance will win two game day tickets courtesy of Brian Harris Autoplex and Geaux for the Gold.

The dealership is located at 293 Howze Beach Road, Slidell.

Ever wonder how blondes remember their passwords? During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password: MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofy.

When asked why such a big password, she said that it had to be at least eight characters long.

The Slidell Elks Lodge will observe Veterans Remembrance Night this Sunday. And they extend a cordial invitation to you to attend. It is open to the public and you need not be a veteran to attend.

The program begins at 7 p.m. and includes a complimentary meal. The keynote speaker will be Vietnam POW, Col. Murphy Neal Jones (Ret.). Musical entertainment will also be provided by Missy Spinosa of Witness.

Please phone chairman Pat Massarini at 643-9978 or e-mail him at patm66@bellsouth.net, or phone the lodge at 641-1266 to make a reservation immediately. They need a head count for the preparation of food.

One of the keys to happiness is a bad memory.
