Shelton Alexander “Alex” LeFrère Jr., 54, entered into eternal rest Monday, Nov. 16, 2009. Alex was lifelong resident of Lacombe. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army and a carpenter by trade, working with his father and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gayle Roberts LeFrère; his mother, Gloria Cousin LeFrère; three sisters, Ursula (Clay) L. Leon, Madeleine (Jimmy) L. Laurent and Lorey LeFrère; and a brother, Preston. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Raymond Jr. (Lucinda), Alvin (Jessica), Bruce (Pam) and Kevin Roberts; sisters-in-law, Joycelyn R. (the late Donald) King, Nona R. (Wilson) Navarre and Maria (Johnny) Roberts; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shelton A. LeFrère Sr.; brother, Matthew Mark; father-in-law, Raymond Sr.; and mother-in-law, Virginia Pichon Roberts.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe with the Rev. Kyle Dave officiating. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time.
