Wildcats top Wolves in basketball

Destrehan’s Wildcats downed the St. Paul’s Wolves 52-40 Thursday in a non-district game played at Destrehan.

St. Paul’s held a 27-26 halftime lead before Destrehan outscored St. Paul’s 10-4 in the third quarter and 16-9 in the final period.

St. Paul’s Luke Baumgartner topped the Wolves with 11 points. Morgan Wells tallied six points with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Derek Arnold finished with six points, five rebounds and two assists, while Jonathan Schoen contributed six points.

Jared Buhler delivered five points and topped the Wolves with six rebounds.
