Melanie Croft, executive director of the St. Tammany Coroner’s Office, confirmed following an autopsy that 75-year-old Sara Lucille Glauda did not die of a gunshot wound as originally thought.
Her death was determined to be caused by a “blunt force trauma” to her head.

St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies found the bodies at approximately 10 a.m. Monday after responding to a 911 call from the home in the Chateau Loire area of the subdivision. Bonnett said while the call was made, dispatchers said it appeared that no one was on the other end of the line.
George Bonnett, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, said because of the look of her injuries, responding deputies originally thought Sara Lucille Glauda had also died from a gunshot wound, but Croft stated that the autopsy uncovered no such wound.
Detectives are still working with family members to determine what may have occurred in the moments leading up to the Glaudas’ deaths.
